Fishing At Neches River July 2013

Here are some shots of the kids fishing in the Neches River over the July 4th holiday. Papa Hood, Uncle Tim Hood, Uncle Jeremy, Jamie, me, and the kids participated. Unfortunately, instead of catching fish, we wound up feeding fish shrimp for lunch. Not a one was caught today.

Fun at Nutty Jerry's

The next day we took the kids to an indoor amusement park called Nutty Jerry's in nearby Winnie. This place was amazing! It had rides and bouncy house slides/obstacle courses that were perfect for the under 10 year old age group. There was even a small (but fast) roller coaster that both Kyler AND Kennan rode for the very first time. I think Kennan was definitely motivated to go on more rides and be more daring because Kyler was there to go on them with her.

Happy July 4th!

We visited Nederland for a long July 4th holiday. Normally, the neighbor down the street puts on a grand display but was out of town this year. So, we decided to do our own fireworks. It would be our kids very first time participating in any firework lighting. Let me tell you, it was the best $15 we have spent in a long time! It was one of those packs that has a little sample of a bunch of things. It was several hours of fun for the kids. When I say kids, I mean Jamie too! Kennan wasn't too thrilled with the firecrackers but loved the sparklers and Roman candles. Overall, it was truly a blast...haha, blast.
