Fishing at Neches River

Kennan catching her first fish

Throwing it back

This was the kids very first fishing experience. Of course, it was in the 80s every day except the one frigid morning that we went. Kennan caught the one and only fish. It was her first! I am pretty sure I have had aquarium fish bigger than this one, but it was a perfect first fish for the kids to see. I think Jamie caught the bug too. We will need to add this to the list of must-dos when we visit Papa and Grandma Hood!

Thanksgiving at Grandma and Papa Hoods

It is tradition that the Perrons and Hoods celebrate Thanksgiving together. Many good cajun recipes abound!

Turkeys with Aunt Nell

While in Nederland for Thanksgiving, the kids had some fun making apple turkeys with Aunt Renell. She was also so sweet and brought the kids two festive cupcakes. Little did we know Kyler would throw up these and many other things until 1 AM this night.

Preschool Thanksgiving Feast

The kids had their Thanksgiving parties at school on Friday. I had to go back and forth to their different classrooms since they were at the same time. They both seemed to enjoy themselves. Kennan LOVES cookies, especially ones shaped like turkeys!

Halloween Night

Spiderman is quite secure in his manliness... he is rocking the pink glow bracelet

Only got a few pictures this night, as we were CRAZY rushed to get ready and greet our neighborhood playgroup at our house prior to trick or treating. It was arguably the busiest day in recent memory. Kennan was overtired (having only started her nap at 4:30) and probably hungry (she didn't want to eat once she woke up). She did want to eat the candy, however, when trick or treating instead of putting it in her bag. I wound up carrying her an entire block kicking and screaming. It was an exhausting day and and even more exhausting evening. I was glad Halloween was finally over.
