Tickling the Ivories

Kyler and his girlfriend had a little fun playing the piano for the very first time (well, his first time). He was like a pro.

Kiddie Park

I took Kyler to the playground and happened to notice a park next door to it that had little rides. We went there next and found the cutest kid park ever! It was the first time he had ridden by himself on anything. He loved riding in the fire engine and the little boats. He is so extroverted that he smiled and waved to everyone watching on the sides. People thought he was adorable! By the 7th ride, he was rubbing his eyes. We went home and both of us took a three hour nap! Needless to say, we will be back!

First Zoo Trip

Since we are living just five minutes from the San Antonio zoo, Kyler and I took an impromptu trip by ourselves to check it out. He loved it. no surprise there, as he has such a curiosity and love for animals.

Rocking Horse Fun

I couldn't resist getting Kyler this adorable rocking horse from Costco last week. He LOVES horses and thought this would be great to keep at the San Antonio apartment.

Poppy's 92nd Birthday!

Grandpa turned 92 and the family celebrated by taking him to eat at his favorite habachi restaurant. Kyler was a little afraid of the fire at first...kudos to Brian for catching the expression. Then we all went back home to have some pumpkin cheesecake and watch football. Jamie was in San Antonio, but with us in spirit as we watched NE squeak out a win against the Sooners. Kyler got into things by leading "touchdown" cheers!

Kyler's Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,
I have been mostly good this year, except for when I throw my food everywhere and hit Shiloh for fun. I mean, give me a break, I am just learning what "no" means! Plus, I know that those shoppers in Hobby Lobby thought I was cute when I threw up on the floor and screamed like a prehistoric creature. I mean, I learned so much this year, including how to eat solids, crawl, walk , and sleep through the night (well, most nights!)! I think that deserves something, right? I promise to be a perfect toddler from now on.
Here is my list:
Barney DVDs (I already have: The Best of Barney)
Thomas the Train (toys or DVDs but I have Hero of the Rails movie)
Tickle Me Elmo or Elmo Live (My mom told me that an elf named Leeza had ordered one for me, yippie! We can cross this one off)
Disney DVDs (I already have Snow White)
Thanks Santa,
Kyler

Kyler's First Trick or Treat!

Kyler got to experience trick or treating for the first time and really enjoyed it. You would think he would be scared of animatronic talking witches and strobe lights, but he was more fascinated than fearful. We walked to just a few of our close neighbor's homes and then we gave out candy at our house. He seemed completely dumbstruck by the weirdness of the kids in costumes knocking on our door for candy. The next morning he put his costume over his head and stood by the front door signaling for us to open it. It was really funny!
