The top picture is of a boys marching band that was a tradition since 1855 or something near that date. It was taken at an amusement park/garden called Tivoli. Another picture is of Jamie enjoying a Tirimisu, the smallest and probably the most expensive one he has ever had.

Here are a couple more pictures..one is of me enjoying a dessert tray..majorly yum! The picture above that is of an adorable kid cart on the front end of a bike..unfortunately, this one had a rain cover on it but the little kid sits inside and wears a little helmet...I just thought it was the cutest thing ever. I was somewhat obsessed with kids over there b/c I missed Kyler. One of the biggest attractions in Copenhagan is the Little Mermaid statue (top picture). Hans Christian Anderson is from Copenhagan (I actually saw the bathroom or "privy" he used while visiting the library..it was a hole on a slab of concrete). Anyhow, Disney's Little Mermaid is based on his writing.

Copenhagan

Jamie and I had a blast exploring Copenhagan..it was like old times when we bounced around Europe exploring the cities before Kyler. Jamie was exhausted from working 120 hr weeks but he managed to sum up the energy to explore the town with me when his case ended. The food was excellent...just high quality everywhere we ate. It should be, as it was very expensive..from $20 a person (for breakfast) to $120 a person (for dinners). All I have to say is thank you BCG! It rained the first full day we were there but that didn't stop us from riding around on rented bikes. Actually, most of the residents bike in and around because they can not afford cars (it is a socialist nation). They have their own lane on the roads.

Austin Reunion

Kyler, Shiloh, and I went to Austin for Jenny's graduation and although we didn't attend the ceremony, we met up for a celebration lunch at the Oasis. Man, that place has gotten so big! Aunt Jeanne kept giving Kyler queso, which he enjoyed more than his baby food. Here is Jenny opening her gifts and giving Poppy an great big hug.

A Whirlwind May!

Since Jamie was staffed in Copenhagan, DK I decided to take Kyler and visit family across Texas (during the swine flu outbreak mind you) instead of being sad and lonely at home. We went to Nederland to visit Jamie's family for a week. We had a blast even though Jamie wasn't with us. Kyler and I went on to Kingwood to visit the Roth's for two days before heading to Austin to meet up with the rest of the Ross/Roth/Truglio clan for Jenny's graduation from St. Edward's. After one night in Austin we headed back home. Four days later I would be on a plane to Copenhagan and away from Kyler for the very first time!
