Kyler getting ready for egg hunt

The kids had their Easter parties at school, complete with egg hunts. Kennan's class looked adorable in their bunny ears. Since I am room mom in Kennan's room, I had to be there to set up and help with the activities. I had to race back and forth to Kyler's room, luckily just down the hall. Every time I left to snap pictures in Kyler's room, Kennan burst into tears.  I think this may be the last party, with the exception of the end of school party. I'm actually kind of glad!! It was a crazy day, followed by a crazy, sugar filled night.

Kyler's First Tee Ball Game (Go Cardinals!)

Dad & Kyler

Kyler had his first tee ball game on Tuesday. It was so cute. Kyler did great. He played 'center left' and then first base. Each teams bats the entire line up, and then you field. So, there are no outs and everyone gets to run the bases each time. All kids field too, so there are all 12 kids out there together. Even though Kyler played 'center left field', he still managed to run (along with the rest of the team) towards first base to field a ball (see the dog pile picture below). They all compete for the ball. Kyler did really well at batting today. Most kids (including Kyler) need reminding to 'run to first' after they hit the ball, as they typically just stand there in shock. There were lots of variations in the base running. Some kids ran to the pitching mound, and others out to second base. It was really hilarious. Kyler's main gaff was after running to home plate, he continued running into the opposing team's dugout and took the long way around back to his dugout. Hey, at least he knew it wasn't his dugout and didn't stay!

Bridlewood Easter Party Day 1

Kyler with Easter Bunny

Kennan the Cookie Monster

Spider Man!

Our neighborhood had Day 1 of the Easter party at our clubhouse. The hunt and bounce houses have been postponed until next week because of today's bad weather. Kyler was fine posing with the Easter Bunny, but of course, Kennan would not have it. Dad reported her to "burst into tears" when he tried to seat her next to him. At least she enjoyed the cookies! Kyler seemed to enjoy the face painting and games as well.

Jamie and I were invited to an event at Cowboy Stadium by his bosses at NCH. I am going to brag a little because it was such an AMAZING once in a lifetime experience!!!! First, we parked closer to any stadium I have ever been in... and parked next to T. Boone Picken's assigned parking spot. I really wanted to take a snapshot of Jamie's ghetto Civic next to that!! Okay, then we proceeded inside and entered through two enormous manned double doors to get into the Owner's Lounge.  Then I essentially entered onto the set of an episode of Dallas. It was an out of body experience. There were skinny rich people EVERYWHERE! The decor was glowing, modern, and just plain money. The (open) bar was the length of my house and the buffet had gourmet BBQ items, if you can imagine such a thing. Plus chefs that would make specialty made to order personal pasta dishes amongst trays of veggie casseroles, fish, and turkey.  The event was a rodeo type thing you would see in Houston complete with concert, bull riding, mutton busting, etc. I guess it is just a different circuit. Well, here is the icing on the cake, we were in the box two down from Jerry Jones who was actually there. Jerry Jones Jr. sat next to us, as evidenced by Jamie's shoulder and elbow in the last photo. I tried to "sneak" the pictures b/c I didn't want to look like a total psycho stalker, especially since his kid was there.  I think I honestly sat watching the people in the boxes more than the actual event. Yes, one of my favorite shows is TMZ. Can you tell?

Western Day at School

Note Kitty Cat has on Western wear also

Both kids had to wear their cowboy and cowgirl clothes to school today. They had parties and they even got to ride ponies! Thanks grandma Roth for getting them these cute hats at the Houston Rodeo.
