John Deere

Like most little boys, Kyler LOVES tractors! One benefit to living next to a construction zone (in our San Antonio apartment) is that he watched the tractors roll by and work next door every day. Here he is sitting on Paw Paw's riding lawn mower (ahem, I mean "tractor").

Playing Around

Kyler got to spend quality time with Daddy "horsing around". We also did the park tour of the Golden Triangle area (meaning we drove around trying to find one without mud!).

Chistmas at the Hoods

This may be our last lazy Christmas mornings, as we didn't open gifts until around noon and Kyler opened one gift every 2 hours (like that will ever happen again). Thank you family and Santa for thinking of Kyler and giving him such wonderful things! He is very blessed! (The second picture is of Kyler sizing up Elmo..he was not too sure about him at first).

Christmas Eve at the Hood's

Here are some pictures of the Hood's Annual Gag Gift Christmas Eve Bash with the Perrons and Smiths. It was a time filled with lots of laughter, egg nog, chicken salad croissants, and the hottest gag gift of the year: the Egg Genie. The last picture is of Leeza and Jeremy and their beautiful gift to us.

Spa Retreat to Scottsdale, AZ

I took a quick getaway with my sister to Scottsdale, AZ at the Phoenician Resort. We spent a full day at the spa and another day hiking Camelback Mountain. The picture at the top is our view from the window. If you are wondering what we are doing with those red and green balls, well, we are lawn bowling. When there wasn't a candle lit dinner party out there on the lawn in the evening, there were dozens of adorable desert rabbits snacking on the grass. As you can see, we posed for some pictures on the top of the mountain (well, almost the top...you needed gear to get to the very top). The last picture is of Teresa next to a great cactus that we observed on our way back down the mountain and back to the resort grounds (we took a shortcut by walking along the golf course cart path, which shaved off about 3.5 miles of walking around to the front of the resort). The weather was absolutely perfect! Now I am back refreshed and ready to be mom again!

First San Antonio Spurs Game

We attended our first Spur's game, and we had suite tickets! It was great! They won the game and we got to visit with people and eat some free food too! I looked for Eva Longoria, as did the majority of women (and men!) in the box, but we don't think she attended this game. Tony Parker was a rock star though. He was really that good.

Moose Baby

Just thought this was cute because I got him to wear antlers for a few minutes. He kind of matches his shirt!

Pictures with Santa

A Snowy Surprise!

We woke up this morning to see snow falling outside! I am not talking a flake here and there, I am talking moderate snowfall around 2 inches! It was Kyler's first time seeing the snow. He was very interested in it. I was rushing to get him to eat and get ready to go out and get some pics b/c I knew it was warming up fast and it would soon turn to rain. Of course, it did turn to rain and melt. By the time we made it out there, it was raining on us, and had melted away a layer of snow. I got some quick video and snapped some pics and then back in the house we went. It may snow again on Friday, so hopefully, I can get some more pictures then.

Thanksgiving at the Hoods

Kyler got to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal for the first time this year...he wasn't on solid foods last Thanksgiving. He also caught the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV. He was quite fascinated with the elaborate costumes and dancing.
