Picture Time!

The top two pictures are of Kennan in her 'going home from the hospital dress'. She looks like a little doll, I think. After Kyler posed with pictures of Kennan, Shiloh promptly hopped up on the couch for her turn with the baby. Shiloh has always loved having her picture taken, seriously. It is weird.

Cute Pictures

Here are some cute pictures I have snapped around the house. Uncle Mike came into town to lend a hand with Kyler, and I snapped this one of Kyler giving Kennan a kiss. Here I am giving Kennan a bath (while she eats my hand) and Kyler helps. He usually gets drenched so I made him remove his clothes so I didn't have to get out a new outfit for the day. I love the one with Jamie, Kyler, and Kennan on the patio having their morning coffee-milk. Kyler has been up to quite a bit of mischief and well into the independence stage that defines the 'terrible twos'. His favorite phrase right now is "go away"...he says "go away daddy, go away mommy". He tries to climb into the the baby swing and gets in big trouble when he does, but I had to get a picture of him trying to "get away" with it.

I finally took some pictures of her room. The paint turned out pinker than we had originally planned (blaming it on the lighting before and after the drapes), but hopefully, she will like it.

Kennan Rae is Here!

Kennan Rae (after my dad and brother, Ray) arrived September 2nd. She was 8.4 oz and 19 inches. Things are going well. Kyler seems to like her but is still a little apprehensive. He has been sick with a cold, so I have had to be extra cautious with him getting too close and touching her hands/face. Will post more pics soon.

Happy Birthday Kyler, Again!

We threw Kyler's second, 2nd birthday party this weekend with the Roth family, Ross family, and the Truglios. The party was full of BBQ, Pinatas, Thomas the Train everything, and of course, cake.

The Surprise Jeep

A family friend gave Kyler their Jeep and Grandma and Grandpa brought it up from Kingwood for us. We gave it to him in a big unveil (literally, we used a sheet to unveil it). We got his reaction on video. It was absolutely priceless. It only took him a few minutes to learn to continually press the foot pedal down, although he struggled with both steering and pressing the pedal continuously. Many family members were around to keep him from running into curbs, trees, and people. It was so fun to see him so happy! If you are wondering, Uncle Ray is not "mentally challenged", he is just pointing to the make believe airplane we said to look at in order to get Kyler to look our direction.

Summer Fun!

Grandma Roth has been coming into town a lot to help take care of Kyler. Here they are coming home from the swimming pool on a hot July day. He is passed out completely! Thanks Grandma for wearing him out!!!

Well, the tractor is actually a lawn mower, but it is still a John Deere. Here we are at Pa-Pa and Grandma Hood's a while back. I am very far behind posting b/c our computer in which we upload our photos has been out of commission.

Belly Pictures

My brother Brian took these pictures for me. I am wAAAAAAAAAy past the cute belly stage and am in the category of freakishly large. I should not have procrastinated taking these pictures! The chair and the dress help hide the size. Next time they will be taken early on in the pregnancy, not a week from being full term. I think they turned out great though Brian..thanks!!!

4D Ultrasound Pictures at 32 Weeks

One lucky thing about having to pay visits to the maternal fetal medicine doctor is that you get frequent ultrasound pictures. The tech also likes to "play" when the office isn't very busy so I get 4D pictures and video for free (which are normally around $250-300 dollars out of pocket at the regular doctor!). She said that b/c I have high fluid levels the pictures usually turn out really great. The baby is sucking her thumb and putting her hands up on her face. I think it is just amazing.

Jamie Joins us for Central Park Visit

Jamie has been wanting to visit Central Park for a while, so he left work early and made the trek with us. Kyler loved the bubble man and counting the turtles in the pond. Kyler found a ball in the grass and this is a great shot of Kyler playing catch with Daddy. Maybe I am biased, but isn't that an amazing throw???!!!
