Austin Reunion

Kyler, Shiloh, and I went to Austin for Jenny's graduation and although we didn't attend the ceremony, we met up for a celebration lunch at the Oasis. Man, that place has gotten so big! Aunt Jeanne kept giving Kyler queso, which he enjoyed more than his baby food. Here is Jenny opening her gifts and giving Poppy an great big hug.

A Whirlwind May!

Since Jamie was staffed in Copenhagan, DK I decided to take Kyler and visit family across Texas (during the swine flu outbreak mind you) instead of being sad and lonely at home. We went to Nederland to visit Jamie's family for a week. We had a blast even though Jamie wasn't with us. Kyler and I went on to Kingwood to visit the Roth's for two days before heading to Austin to meet up with the rest of the Ross/Roth/Truglio clan for Jenny's graduation from St. Edward's. After one night in Austin we headed back home. Four days later I would be on a plane to Copenhagan and away from Kyler for the very first time!

Hood Family Easter Pictures

We took some pictures outside after breakfast. Houston was as muggy as ever but Kyler was in a great mood.

Easter Morning

We spent Easter at the Roth house and Grandma Roth made another holiday extremely special for Kyler. She bought him the cutest Easter basket that was shaped like a bunny and a sweet little stuffed bunny that said 'My First Easter' on his shirt. Of course, the basket had some yummy chocolate for mama to eat! Grandpa Roth sat with him as he viewed this for the first time. Hmmm..I think Kyler was thinking: "hands off my chocolate, grandpa!" in the first picture!

On our way to Houston for Easter we stopped at a safe spot to take some pictures of Kyler in the bluebonnets. I HIGHLY underestimated the height of the grasses and bluebonnets from the road. Next time, I will make sure to find a shorter area. He is kind of lost in the weeds here.We were kind of frantic and late getting out of Dallas, so I just sort of randomly picked a place to stop that looked safe. The light would have been better form the other side of the highway..oh well! At least we got a few.

Kyler's Professional Easter Pics

We had a blast visiting family down in Houston for Easter. I have lots of pictures but SOMEONE (name starts with a J) crashed our main home computer two weeks ago for the second time, so I won't be able to upload any new pictures until he fixes it. Here are some professional pictures we had done that I was able to scan and upload on my parents' computer. More to come once the computer gets fixed!!!! Note to self: get my own computer!!!!

New Fisher Price Learning Table

He loves this thing! I bought it yesterday at Toys R Us. It has all major beginning concepts on it (cause/effect, shapes, colors, letters)! I love the mini laptop too. Very cute. I am keeping it on the ground until he can stand on his own and then I will put the legs on it.

St. Patrick's Day

Uncle Brian was in town for St. Patrick's Day while on his spring break and we celebrated by having traditional corn beef & cabbage. Grandma Roth also made a yummy Irish soda bread for us. Kyler is workin his Irishness; albeit, he is only 25%!
